About Smooth Closing
Smooth Closing is a real estate company based out of Austin, TX! We started buying houses in 2007, and have purchased over 275 houses since 2014. We use that experience to help make the process as easy as possible for the Seller and tackle any situations that arise, ensuring a Smooth Closing. We buy properties from all different types of homeowners in all situations, whether it’s someone behind on their payments, landlords with occupied rental properties who are tired of the business, or folks who just want to sell their house without any of the hassles of a retail sale.
While we are based in Austin, we have purchased houses in Ohio, Arizona, North Carolina, in addition to all of the major metros in Texas! If you are a homeowner anywhere in the country, we would love to help!
We also buy them in very unique situations, like a residential home that was being used as a winery, or from a homeowner who insisted that we never meet and that I could not view the home in-person prior to purchasing it, or even buying a package of 18 duplexes on a single street without a homeowner’s inspection on any of them (these are real experiences we’ve have had).
Our Story
Like many others, I wasn’t born in Austin but I got here as fast as I could! After growing up in Ohio, I moved to this beautiful city after college, and have been here ever since. I met my future wife (7th generation Austinite!) shortly after moving here, and I’m happy to say I’ll live here for the rest of my life. To me, the most striking part of Austin is still the greenery, something you don’t see in most other cities. Even after 14 years of living here, I still enjoy looking at all of the trees while driving West on 290 and 360. There aren’t many places where the saying “not a cloud in the sky” can be interpreted literally at times, and I’m still amazed every time it happens here.
Meet The Team
Chip Ferguson
At his core, he is a problem solver with an endlessly positive attitude. Most people only buy or sell a home a few times in their life, and the process can be very confusing at first. After hundreds of real estate transactions, he knows exactly what to do and how to do it. He loves trying to find ways to help homeowners, whether it’s buying a property they no longer want, or personally helping them move after a 50-year homestead. There is nothing more satisfying than fixing a problem that was previously considered unfixable. Even if he’s not the best option for you in your situation, he will let you know and still do anything he can to help you achieve your goal.
Zaman Pasha – Home Buying Specialist
Zaman’s love for community led to his passion in real estate, but that isn’t where his story began. Rather, he graduated with a degree in civil engineering and worked in construction management. During his years in construction, he saw first-hand the importance of being trustworthy and trusting the people around him, and he brings these qualities and experiences to real estate. In life and business, he takes a people-first approach. He knows that behind every seller and buyer, there is a human being with a story and believes in building a meaningful connection to understand their needs and goals. With his good old “get ‘er done” attitude, Zaman dedicates himself to helping you.
Outside of real estate, you’ll find Zaman looking for a new restaurant to try or spending time with friends and family. Along with his University Professor, he also works on bringing together like-minded young professionals to support each other on their journeys.
Ross Lehnhardt – Home Sales Manager
Ross, a New Orleans native, began his real estate investing journey in 2019 and has since completed over 200 transactions across five major metro areas in the U.S. With a background in finance, Ross brings a data-driven approach to evaluating deals, ensuring maximum profitability for his clients by carefully analyzing each investment’s financial flow and potential.
When he’s not analyzing deals or assisting clients, Ross enjoys staying active by playing any and all sports, exploring the outdoors around Lake Austin, and indulging in the best barbecue Texas has to offer. His balanced lifestyle and dedication to his craft make him a valued partner for investors seeking to thrive in today’s competitive real estate landscape.
Chris Walker – Homeowner Outreach Manager
Chris has 5 years of experience in client outreach. He loves assisting his clients and expanding his real estate knowledge whenever possible. When he’s not immersed in real estate, he’s modifying cars or battling friends on the chess board.
Camilo Jarque – Home Buying Specialist
Camilo’s journey began in the software industry, where he thrived on understanding complex client needs and finding tailored solutions. His passion for collaborating with marketing and IT teams has seamlessly transitioned into real estate, where he brings the same dedication to understanding and meeting diverse client goals.
Camilo believes in a people-first approach, focusing on building meaningful connections and delivering effective solutions. Outside of real estate, he enjoys exploring new restaurants, live music, and activities with his loving dog and family, making lasting memories along the way.
Vince Saldana – Home Buying Specialist
Vince joined Smooth Closing in 2024 with a background in home renovations, but has quickly found his niche in helping Sellers through the most difficult of situations. With an unrelenting drive to get stuff done, Vince has already helped numerous homeowners locate long-lost relatives, and stop predatory lenders in their tracks.
When Vince isn’t solving problems, he’s getting outdoors as much as possible while preparing for a family expansion in early 2025!
Kaylee Garcia – Home Buying Specialist
With over five years in real estate and 20+ years in customer service, Kaylee Garcia knows what it takes to make clients feel heard and supported. She’s all about finding the right solution for every situation and helping clients navigate the sometimes tricky world of real estate.
When Kaylee isn’t working with clients, you can find her spending time with family and friends, soaking up the outdoors, or heading to the beach. And when she’s at home, she loves experimenting in the kitchen—cooking up something special is her way of relaxing and connecting with the people she cares about.
Anderson Jimenez – Home Buying Specialist
With over five years in real estate, Anderson Jimenez is dedicated to helping clients navigate the world of property buying and selling. He takes pride in finding tailored solutions and building lasting relationships, ensuring every client feels supported throughout the process.
A highlight of Anderson’s career was helping a retired couple downsize by finding a cozy, low-maintenance home that met all their needs, while also negotiating favorable terms that left them feeling both secure and satisfied.
Outside of work, Anderson enjoys boxing, watching sports, and spending time with his family. He’s also passionate about traveling, always seeking new perspectives and ways to connect with people around the world.
Elvis Montero – Home Buying Specialist
Elvis has worked in customer service for over 10 years, and real estate for 5 of those. He loves to connect with clients and will be sure to make you laugh within a couple minutes of meeting.
He also enjoys fishing as It allows him to work on his patience, and considers it to be a great character builder. To him, there is nothing more rewarding than to be fishing for hours and right when he is about to give up, he finally makes a catch.
Kyle Loth – Project Manager
Kyle started in apartment maintenance when he moved to Austin from the Seattle area in 2009. For the past 11 years he has been managing the renovations of multifamily and residential properties in central Texas. He gets fulfillment out of revitalizing out-dated properties. In his free time, Kyle enjoys being outside with family and friends, paddleboarding, golfing, mountain biking, camping and listening to live music.
